ControllerÕs Office Updates ÒTreasure or TrashÓ System [02/25/08]
The current "Treasure or Trash" system is a Controller’s Office Web resource, which allows you to advertise and/or locate surplus OSU equipment.
As of March 12, 2008 a new Surplus Property Management System will be implemented.
The new Surplus Property Management System will provide:
- Electronic submittal of surplus forms.
- Online notification to the Asset Management department and the OSU Research Foundation (OSURF) regarding asset retirements.
- Real-time inventory of items in the surplus warehouse.
With the new system, all submissions of surplus material must be initiated by completing an electronic "Disposal Request" from the new online system.
Training information will be sent directly to the Equipment Coordinators during the week of February 18th. System user training sessions will be provided from March 2008 through April 2008. Access to the new system will be made available as Equipment Coordinators complete training.
