This communication is a reprint of an email previously sent to all eReports Users on 4/14/08. It is a follow-up to a previous NewsLink.
Dear eReports Users:
The eReports 9 Simulation\Playground environment is now available via the following URL which directs users to the new eReports 9 home page:
http://ereports.osu.edu/simulation
This environment is being provided to allow users to become familiar with eReports 9 prior to the scheduled production roll-out scheduled for May 19th. Below is some important information about the simulation\playground environment:
- Users will need to make sure their browsers are configured correctly and that the new Interactive Reporting (IR) Web Client (formerly the Insight Plug-in) is installed. Instructions for configuring your browser and installing the new IR Web Client can be found at the following URL: http://oit.osu.edu/hrfin/techsupport.html.
- All reports point to the same data sources used in the eReports 8 Production environment and will provide the same results.
- The eReports 9 Upgrade Guide for Users provides information about using the new version. This file can be accessed via the eReports 9 home page under Helpful Links (top link on the left side of the page) or it can be found in eReports 9 in the root folder (OSUSIM folder in eReports 9 Simulation\Playground).
- For Financials report users, the Standard Monthly Reports are limited to FY 2007 and FY 2008 through February in the simulation\playground environment.
- For Impact report users, Impact reports are still being tested by Development and are not available at this time. These reports should be available on Wednesday, April 16th in the simulation\playground environment.
Finally, as a reminder, two awareness sessions will be held on April 25th. Each session will be held in 131 Hitchcock Hall with the first session being held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the second session being held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Users do not have to register for these sessions.
