HR System/ SIS Training Resources Available [5/05/08]
In preparation for the implementation of the Student Information System (SIS) in late May, the following training resources are available for HR System users to learn more about the impact to HR and, specifically, the Hire Process:
1. For those already familiar with the Hire Process:
- The "Hiring in HR/ SIS" online course is available on Carmen. Access the Carmen site to review the course material.
- Click the course name "Hiring in HR/ SIS" (this is found under My Courses/ Special/ Offices of the CIO)
- Follow the instructions on the course home page to start the course
- Once you have taken the "Hiring in HR/ SIS" online course you may register for one of the structured, facilitated practice sessions which are being held in May. Note: Completion of the "Hiring in HR/ SIS" course is strongly recommended before attending a structured practice session. Register for a session at the link below. Be sure to select "Hiring in HR SIS Practice Session" from the Class Catalog.

Four sessions will be offered on May 8, 14, 19 and 20.
2. For those who are unfamiliar with the Hire Process (have not yet attended the Hire an Employee classroom course):
- Register for the Hire an Employee classroom course (the same link as shown above). Be sure to select "Hire an Employee" from the Class Catalog.
