Updates to the HR/FIN Administrative System Web Site [01/14/08]
Below are two items, of primary interest to Financials Users, with regard to the Administrative Systems Web site.
(Item #1) - Financials Training Calendar Updated
Multiple Procurement classes taking place in mid to late January have been relocated to 112A Mount Hall, 1050 Carmack Road from their original location of 2650 Kenny Road (Purchasing, Receiving & Stores building). These changes have been added to the Financials Training Schedule and Calendar. As a rule, enrolled parties are sent an email update notifying them of room changes.
(Item #2) - "What Training Should I Take?" portion of the Administrative Systems Web site has been updated
The separate curriculums offered by both Financial Training & Documentation (FTD) and ongoing Financials System Training work together as an integrated series of classroom training and workshops geared towards helping staff properly fulfill their fiscal responsibilities. Although many of the sessions can be taken "ˆ la carte," there is a recommended sequence in which to attend the training based on job duties.
The "What Training Should I Take" page has been updated based on instructor feedback and collaboration between the separate training teams; making it more helpful in providing at-a-glance information about what training sequence is most effective. Going forward, this page will also contain an effective date so that any interim changes will be more visible.
