Online List of Outstanding Asset Management Self-Audits [02/11/08]
Below is a recap that summarizes a recent communication, shared with Senior Fiscal Officers (SFO's), with impact to Asset Management and related processes.
A new Web page has been established to identify all currently-outstanding Physical Inventory and Equipment Review self-audits. This will be updated weekly as late submissions are turned in. The "Self-Audit Outstanding Status List," is available on the Asset Management page of the Office of the Controller web site http://www.ctlr.ohio-state.edu/equipment/equip.shtm under "Links," and is accessible with your OSU internet username and password.
- The Physical Inventory and Equipment Review (PIER) self-audit process is the annual departmental self-certification of movable equipment inventories as of the fiscal year-end.
- PeopleSoft asset listings and forms for each cycle are sent to departments in July and certifications due back to Asset Management by the following September 30.
- Non-compliance with this process is an audit issue.
- To enable departments with the ability to monitor the status and to identify any organizations which have not yet completed the requirements for the current fiscal year, the Office of the Controller has implemented a "Self-Audit Outstanding Status List" for this information.
- If you have any questions, the contact persons in the Office of the Controller are Robert Hunt, 688-4131 or hunt.377@osu.edu and DeeAnn Willis-Berry, 688-4788 or willis-berry1@osu.edu.
