Deadline Set for FY08 Workflow & InterUnit Journals [06/18/08]
As the fiscal year comes to a close, it is important to point out that Journal Initiators and Approvers must check their worklists for journals that need to post to the current fiscal year (2008); this is especially critical for entries between Business Units:
- UNIV and OSURF
- UNIV and OSUMC
- OSUMC and OSURF
Due to different year-end closing schedules among the three business units (UNIV, OSURF and OSUMC) it is imperative that you adhere to the following "post by" schedule:
Workflow & Non-InterUnit (Entries entirely within one Business Unit) Journals:
- UNIV only journals please post your journals by second close, 7 p.m. on Monday, July 21st.
- OSURF only journals: please post your journals by 7 p.m. on Monday, June 30th.
- OSUMC only journals: please post your journals by 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2nd.
Workflow & InterUnit (Entries between two or more Business Units) Journals:
- UNIV and OSUMC related journals must be posted by 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2nd.
- OSURF related journals must post by Monday, June 30th (in order for workflow to be processed by July 2nd).
**FAILURE TO MEET THESE DEADLINES WILL RESULT IN JOURNALS POSTING TO THE NEW FISCAL YEAR (2009)**
Also, please keep in mind that the cut-off for Interdepartmental Billings (IDBs) will be Wednesday, July 2nd for all business units.
