New Format for Voucher Numbers Starting FY09 [06/30/08]
On July 1, 2008 a modification will be implemented in the Financials System for voucher numbering that starts in FY09.
The changes will allow a unique two-digit field to designate the fiscal year, as opposed to the current single digit field.
The "origin" section of the voucher number will be expanded to accommodate two alpha characters from the current single character.
In order to expand those fields, while maintaining the existing eight character voucher number length, the unique portion of the voucher number will be reduced from six digits to four. The numeric segment will use a combination of numbers and letters in order to accommodate the required number of vouchers within the four digits.
If you have any questions regarding the new voucher number structure, please contact 8-HELP.
