Purchasing and Travel Card Transactions from the May '08 Cycle [7/14/08]
Below is a reprint of communication sent to SFOs, of interest to Reallocators, with regard to a change in the Purchasing & Travel Card program and May 2008 transactions.
Overall, it appears that the change in suppliers from J.P. Morgan Chase to PNC for OSU's Purchasing & Travel Cards has been a smooth transition.
However, there was a minor glitch in posting transactions for the May 2008 cycle. More specifically, the transaction deadline (May 24th) fell on a Saturday and PNC's normal operating procedures automatically extended the cycle window to their next processing day, which was Monday May 26th. The impact for Ohio State is that the statements from PNC contain an additional day of transactions and will be inconsistent with the data shown on the General Ledger that will only include transactions through May 24th.
OIT will be implementing a systems change to resolve this issue moving forward.
