Deadline for Summer Quarter GFA Funding Entries is August 3rd [7/27/09]
As a reminder, the deadline for recording Summer Quarter GFA (Graduate Fee Authorization) funding entries is August 3. Recall that the process for managing GFA has changed as of May 18 and GFA processes are now part of the HR Job Data Entry role.
After that August 3rd, the GFA page will be "frozen" and inaccessible to departments. The fees for GFAs will post to the General Ledger on August 17.
Also note that the Grad Fee Authorization Carmen course has been revised. Changes include new job aids, updates on system issues, information on access to Student Records (viewing a student's account statement), and the Q&A from the recent GFA Forum, held on July 16.
Be sure to review the course again to take advantage of the new material. Use the steps below to access the course.
- Access the Carmen site.
- If you don"t see the course, "Grad Fee Authorization," click the [Join] link at the top of the page, directly above the "My Courses" heading.
- Follow the instructions to join the class. (Click here for assistance with using the Join feature).
- If the course displays, click the course name "Grad Fee Authorization".
- In Carmen, see: Course/Ongoing/Office of Information Technology
- Follow the instructions on the course home page to start the course.
