eTravel System: Electronic Signature and New Closed Status [8/12/09]
Below is a brief overview of the latest enhancements available in eTravel as of Friday, August 14th. Be sure to also periodically review the Travel Office website which will include any current travel industry updates which can also affect use of the eTravel System.
Employee Electronic Traveler Signature:
There are two options for certification of reimbursement and cash advance:
- Electronic signature – Arrangers will be given the option to send a notice (screen shot #1) through OSU email address to obtain an electronic signature from the traveler (screen shots #2 and #3). The signature request will be sent to official OSU or OSU Medical Center email (usually name.n@osu.edu or first.last@osumc.edu)
- Print form and obtain signature on paper.

New "Closed" Status available for Travel Arrangers:
- Closed Status: trip occurred and finalized; no further payments need to be processed against trip.
- If payments still need to be processed against the trip, contact the Travel Office.
- Cancelled Status: trip did not occur; action is permanent and cannot be reversed.
