Rehire of Term Lecturers and Adjunct Professors [9/08/09]
Lecturers and Adjunct Professors who are term employees and need to be rehired each year lose their system security access (e.g. Carmen, library access) when they are terminated. However, it is restored once the rehire is entered in the HR/SIS.
HRPs will need to enter the rehire action ASAP to maintain system access for these employees over the summer so they can prepare for the upcoming term. It can be entered as early as the day after entering the termination action. (Note: Terminations and Rehires should not be entered on the same day. The system must process the termination overnight before it can accept the rehire)
HRPs can contact their OHR Payroll Analyst for assistance.
If you are an HRP who needs to identify your Payroll Analyst, access the following OHR site link: http://hr.osu.edu/dir/
Search by either "Employee ID" or "Org Number" and look for Payroll contact.
