eTravel System Enhancements [10/05/09]
Below is a brief overview of the latest enhancements available in the eTravel system as of Friday, October 2, 2009. Be sure to also periodically review the Travel Office website for any current travel industry updates which can also affect use of the eTravel system.
Search Function Improvements:
The search parameters for both Travel Requests and Payment Requests have been enhanced by the addition of a date range criterion to narrow search results.

In addition, the search results are now formatted in:
- a view mode to return the first 50 T#s (sorted by most recent).
- a scrolling mode with the ability to scroll through to the next 50 results (and so on).
Enhancement to Payment Handling for Registration Prepayments made through eTravel system:
In order to ensure that the system generated coversheet accompanies registration prepayments made through the eTravel system, the payment handling option will now automatically default to AT (e.g. attachment) when a Registration Prepayment is the selected payment type.
- If the payment handling option should be PU (pick-up) or another option, the payment requestor must manually change the value.
- If there is a separate registration form that must accompany the check, the department must forward it directly to Accounts Payable (with a T# referenced clearly on the registration form) by fax (292-2294)--be sure that the registration form is submitted to Accounts Payable prior to the scheduled check run for the registration prepayment. Note: For Office of Sponsored Program registration form instructions, visit rf.osu.edu/travel.

Access to Travel Request attachments from Payment Request:
When creating or approving a new Payment Request, the Payment Requestor or Approver may now click on the Reference Number link along the top of the Payment Request to open a new window to display the Travel Request. Any attachments associated with that Travel Request can now be downloaded to view.
This reminder will be sent directly to eTravel users as well as distributed in the biweekly Administrative Systems NewsLink communication.
