Course Description:

This Human Resources course is recommended for all HR system users who are responsible for any aspect of maintaining employees' job data (or related activities). The Manage Job Data course provides an understanding of the basic principles and business processes of managing an employee's job data at OSU as they relate to the HR system. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Transfer, promote, and demote employees.
  • Process compensated-related changes.
  • Reclassify employees.
  • Process a leave of absence.
  • Suspend an employee.
  • Terminate or retire an employee.
  • Process a Personnel Expenditure Transfer (PET).
  • Adjust an employee's service date.
  • Change an employee's campus address.
  • Process an employee name change.
  • Understand reports related to job data.

  • Process Social Security Number changes.

Hire an Employee, Manage Positions and Create Job Openings .

8 hour Instructor-led course in a computer lab with hands-on practice.
