OSUNET Network Policies
The University policies listed on this page were created with input from the Office of the CIO, the PlanIT Stakeholders Group and the Ohio State University Network Working Group (NETWOG).
What are the OSUNet network policies?
While departments may have additional policies, all users of OSUNet must follow the policies from the Office of the CIO which includes; The Policy on Responsible Use of University Computing Resources.
Additionaly Academic and administrative units also are responsible to insure that their network(s) comply with the Sonnet Network Policy (.pdf), and the Policy on Deployment and Use of Wireless Data Networks.
Pending policies that have been posted for comments are located in the drafts section of this page.
To whom do the policies apply?
The University policies apply to all academic or administrative units, and their employees along with anyone using University resources.
Currently we have a few policies that are in the draft stage, however they are currently in the review process. Any comments on these policies can be sent to osunet@osu.edu.
